Damn! The Charentes
This year, we are choosing to stay in France for our vacation.
It's not just a question of budget (although we still pay attention to it). It is also and above all a form of responsibility that we choose to bear for multiple reasons.
First, we want to avoid flying to reduce our carbon footprint and thus contribute to the fight against global warming.
Then, we participate in responsible and supportive tourism. By supporting the local economy:
- by reserving accommodation suited to our needs
- by favoring short circuits with local products
- and choosing gentle modes of transport whenever possible.
Are you still wondering about the benefits? :
We allow ourselves a little more flexibility, and freedom too, by deciding to leave whenever we want, for a long weekend for example. Or on the contrary we take a few days when most people are working (except school holidays, it's even better!).
We are lucky to have a country with varied landscapes, a rich heritage, and ultra-tasty gastronomy that everyone envies!
And Les Charentes in all this?
Between countryside, vineyards, and ocean, the choice is wide! The castles, churches and villages of character will ultimately satisfy our curiosity. As for the gourmet tables washed down with some cognac and Pineau des Charentes, they will seduce us more.
Let's follow the winegrowers as close as possible to the vines, let's venture on this river which has contributed to the country's wealth for centuries, and cycle in complete tranquility in these island landscapes which make our skin salty...
The Charentes are waiting for you (and us)! Here we go ?
