Buy onlineYour senses are awakened to discover the profession of luthier with the added bonus of enjoying a visit to the castle and the park. Another leap into the past when you find the Bouchauds amphitheater, a legacy left by our ancestors. The artistic movement will take its breath with you as you meet a unique painter, specialized in baroque art.
The Charentes offer a wide range of activities and we have selected here the most original which offer a lot of authenticity, with a privileged character. Don't miss this for anything!
You will stay with one of our partners, in a gîte. Take advantage of your hosts who want nothing better than to know you and discuss your stay and your needs with you. Let yourself be guided by the activities chosen especially to immerse yourself in the heritage and culture of the Charente period. The Agrippa Way and the Gallo-Roman sites will reveal their every secret to you. The gourmet and refined Charente restaurants will delight your taste buds. The know-how of the great artisans of this region will be transmitted to you in their respective workshops for exclusive and intimate moments. Are you ready for this grandiose journey?

The place is located 20 minutes from Angoulême by car (N141)
Consider carpooling
5 p.m.: arrival at the gîte address (free parking in the car park provided for this purpose). Taking possession of the premises, time for you 30 minutes.
5:30 p.m.: direction (by taxi) the Violons du Château to meet the luthier of Gourville. Visit the workshops, the castle and the park where you will be offered a drink before returning to the gîte.
7:30 p.m.: return followed by dinner on site at table d'hôtes.
9:30 a.m.: after breakfast, departure for the guided tour of the Gallo-Roman site with its amphitheater. Then transfer to the Cognac producer.
10:30 a.m.: the producer opens its doors for you to visit the estate and taste their famous Pineau des Charentes!
12:30 p.m.: lunch at the Auberge des Fins Bois, still in the country of Rouillac, where it smells like the sun (the owners, and in particular the chef, are Portuguese and color their dishes to the rhythm of the seasons!) Then transfer to the workshop of the painter.
15h : rdv à Gondeville, chez M Hervé Bonnin dit Bonsard pour 3h d’échanges autour de cet art baroque qu’il remet au goût du jour depuis une dizaine d’année. Puis balade à pied d’une trentaine de minutes jusqu’au Restaurant du Château. Profitez de ce temps pour méditer sur ces passerelles que l’on peut faire entre le XVIIè et le XXIè siècle !
10 p.m.: taxi transfer to accommodation.
10 a.m.: brunch at the lodge to enjoy the seasonal rays of the sun.
12 p.m.: return home or extend your stay with us by completing other activities…
